Moonee Ponds – Private High Tea Spaces

Our Moonee Ponds venue offers two semi-private spaces within the café. Each space is booked individually and roped off exclusively for your group.

Available spaces:

Telephone Booth Area: up to 25 guests
Piano Area: up to 40 guests

FAQs

How long is a private High Tea function?

All private High Tea bookings run from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, including setup, service and wrap-up time.
If you require a shorter booking window, please speak with our team.

What does the Private Space & Event Access Fee cover?

Exclusive use of your selected space, staffing, setup and reset time, cleaning, event coordination.

Why do access fees vary by space?
Pricing is based on capacity and operational impact. Larger spaces require more staff and coordination.

Do children count in guest numbers?
Yes. All guests attending, including children, must be included in final numbers.

Can guests order à la carte?
High Tea is the minimum requirement for all guests. Additional à la carte items may be ordered on top. À la carte kitchen closes at 4:00pm (last orders 3:30pm on weekends).

Can we order additional drinks?
Yes. Any drinks not included in your package may be ordered and paid for on the day.

What dietary requirements can you cater for?
Vegetarian, nut-free and gluten-free High Tea (+$5).
Vegan and dairy-free High Tea is not available. These guests must still be included in numbers if attending.

Is High Tea refundable?
All High Tea bookings are prepaid and non-refundable. If guests cannot attend, their food will still be prepared and served.

Can we bring our own cake?
BYO food, drinks and cakes are not permitted. Celebration cakes can be ordered directly from Feekah.

Can we take leftovers home?
Leftover celebration cake can be packed up by our team. High Tea food and drinks are not automatically packed; guests may bring their own containers and pack it.

What if something is damaged or broken?
Any breakages or damage may be charged accordingly. Children must be supervised at all times.

Accessibility (Doncaster)
Level 1 only, no lift access. No wheelchairs or prams. Toilets are a 2-minute walk in the centre.

Accessibility (Moonee Ponds) Is wheelchairs & prams accessible.

Parking (Doncaster)
Best parking is Level 1 Myer. We’re located next to Seed Clothing.

Decorations
Light styling is welcome. No confetti. Nothing may be attached to walls. All items must be removed by the end of the booking.

Payments
A non-refundable deposit (space fee) secures your date. Final balance due 3–4 weeks prior.

Staying beyond 5:00pm
Any extensions must be arranged in advance. On-day extensions are charged at $35 per person.
